Today, May 3rd (Friday/holiday), we held a media release announcement event for “RAPUNZEL ART COLLECTION BY SHOKO NAKAGAWA” in Disney THE MARKET Hankyu Umeda Main Store. This event is a special shopping event “Disney THE MARKET” held at Hankyu Umeda main store from May 1st, where more than 3,000 kinds of Disney products are gathered together, and singers, talents, voice actors, actresses, We have announced that a product collection designed based on the art of “Rapunzel”, the main character of the Disney animated movie “Rapunzel”, drawn by Shoko Nakagawa, who is active in a wide range of fields including illustrator, will be released. When asked about his commitment to art production, he answered, “I communicated with Disney many times, conveyed my wishes, and of course I drew Pascal, but I also drew everything from the tiara to the letters and the title, so it was my job as an illustrator. Since I was able to do this, I’ve always wanted to draw it.Hair is the most difficult thing to draw, so I really recommend a chopstick holder that takes advantage of that feeling.”He continued, “I grew up surrounded by various Japanese illustrations. So, I painted it with the hope that the Japaneseness of my art would reach people overseas as well,” he said with a smile.
