TCL Co., Ltd., a member of the White House Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, President and CEO: Fumio Kimura) group that sells imported cars and automobile-related products, has released the CTEK sub-battery running charging system “D250T” that is compatible with 24V electrically equipped vehicles. “SMARTPASS120T” will be presented at the Japan Truck Show 2024, which will be held from May 9th to May 11th.

[What is CTEK D250T/SMARTPASS120T driving charging system]
As the demand for coolers and heaters when stationary is increasing to provide a comfortable environment for drivers, from the perspective of reducing fuel costs and CO2 emissions, coolers and heaters are being used in trucks other than campers instead of idling. The need for sub-batteries is increasing.
However, conventional drive chargers (isolators) cannot boost the voltage above the alternator voltage, making it difficult to properly control voltage and current, making it difficult to fully charge the sub-battery.
CTEK
The D250T uses a 4-step charging program to boost and adjust the voltage and current and supply it to the sub-battery, making it possible to charge efficiently without being affected by alternator voltage.
SMARTPASS120T is a unit that supports high current of up to 120A and also supports lithium batteries.
Also, if you use D250T and SMARTPASS120T together, you can charge with a high current of up to 130A.

1. Bulk charge: Charges the battery to 80% of its capacity at maximum current.
2. Absorption/penetration charging: Charges the battery up to 100% of its capacity while reducing the current.
3. Float Maintains battery voltage at maximum level by charging with constant voltage.
4. Pulse Maintain battery capacity at 95-100%.
The D250T measures battery voltage and pulses charging as needed to keep the battery fully charged.
