The Hakuba Village Tourism Bureau (Address: 7025 Hokujo, Hakuba Village, Representative Director: Hideki Ito) is holding the Golden Week event “GREEN HAKUBA” held in the midst of nature.
Approximately 1,200 people participated in the 45th Salt Road Festival, which was held today on the 4th for the first time in five years, and enjoyed the approximately 9km journey. Blessed with clear skies and with a beautiful backdrop of lingering snow and fresh greenery on the Hakuba Mountain Range, Mayor Maruyama dressed as a magistrate, and Hakuba Tourism Ambassador Risa Kunimoto participated in a princess outfit, enlivening the festival with around 30 extras. I did.
Tomorrow, May 5th, is “Happy Children’s Day,” and Mayor Maruyama, Risa Kunimoto, and Victoire Chevalblanc Murao III will be giving out Murao III’s sweets to children at activity facilities and JR Hakuba Station. I will distribute it to the people.
On May 5th and 6th, you can enjoy wine and music at the “Wine Marche” held at Snow Peak LAND STATION HAKUBA. Additionally, on the 6th, the last day of Golden Week, all Hakuba ski resorts will be holding a “Clean Act.” trash pickup event on all ski slopes. There will be plenty of events even towards the end of Golden Week, so please enjoy them.

The 45th Salt Road Festival was held on May 4th.
Under warm, sunny skies, we started at Ochikura Nature Park and walked about 9km to Green Sports Forest, feeling the idyllic countryside at the foot of the Northern Alps and the history of Hakuba.
At the departure ceremony, participants were welcomed with a Shio-no-Michi Taiko drum performance and a mirror-breaking event from the Hakuba Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Uesugi Omotenashi Busho-tai from Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, rushed in and departed with the participants, shouting, “Here we go!” Along the way, the ceremony was enriched with gestures from local residents and ocarina performances, and at the finish line, a powerful Happo Taiko drum performance and the appearance of Hakuba Tourism Ambassador Risa Kunimoto dressed as a princess enlivened the ceremony. At the end, the participants enjoyed the traditional Karakomaki.

Celebrate the start of Hakuba’s green season with wine and music at Snow Peak Land Station Hakuba, where you can relax and unwind. There will be 5 stores selling wine from the Northern Alps area, and 9 stores offering food that goes well with local wines.
On both days, stage performances will brighten up the venue’s atmosphere, and you can relax and enjoy the music while listening to the music.
