[Guest] Mr. Jun Mizutani (former professional table tennis player, photo right) Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1989. Due to the influence of his parents, he started playing table tennis at the age of 5, and from the second year of junior high school, he studied table tennis in Germany’s Bundesliga. In 2007, at the age of 17, he became the youngest player in history to win the All Japan Table Tennis Championships. In 2019, he won the tournament for an unprecedented 10th time. Participated in four consecutive Olympic Games since 2008. At the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, they won a silver medal in the men’s team and a bronze medal in the singles, becoming the first Japanese to win a men’s or women’s singles medal. At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, she will become the first Japanese table tennis player to win a gold medal in mixed doubles. He retired from active duty in the same year. Currently active in various fields such as talent, sportscaster, and table tennis commentator.
