As a result of our research, we found that the Japanese price of 168,800 yen is the 6th cheapest in the world. Looking at the 11-inch iPad Pro 5th generation as a whole, Japan is the 6th to 9th cheapest, but it was ranked 4th to 6th for the previous generation, so it has fallen slightly behind. The cheapest country is the United States, which is a consumption tax exempt area at 154,589 yen, which is about 14,000 yen cheaper than Japan. The most expensive country is Brazil at 375,278 yen, which is expected to be more than double the price in Japan.
Japan has the third highest price increase rate in the world

Comparing the starting price of the 5th generation and its
predecessor, the 4th generation, the price has increased by 35% in Japan. However, since the price has increased by 25% in the US, which is the standard country, it is thought that this significant increase in the starting price is due to the increase in the minimum storage capacity from 128GB to 256GB rather than the weaker yen. . In Turkey, which recorded a price increase rate of 124%, the price of Apple products continues to increase significantly due to the depreciation of the country’s currency over many years.
Japan’s 11-inch iPad Pro price increases by more than 70,000 yen in 3 years

Comparing the starting prices of each generation of the 11-inch iPad Pro released in the past three years, the price has increased by 74,000 yen in Japan, and by 200 dollars (approximately 30,000 yen) in the United States. You can see that prices in Japan have increased more than twice as much as in the United States. The main price fluctuation factors for Apple products are foreign exchange rates and taxes, and since the tax rate imposed on these products in Japan is the same, it can be said that the weaker yen is the cause of the large price increase.
