The season for the Curry Bread Grand Prix (R) has arrived again this year, with the slogan “Which curry bread is the most delicious?” The Curry Bread Grand Prix (R) is an award race sponsored by the Japan Curry Bread Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) to determine the highest gold medal (best in Japan) for curry bread and shops that make curry bread. The final selection will be held through online voting by the public, and the curry breads that receive a certain number of votes will pass the final selection and proceed to the final screening. The 2024 finals will be held from May 8th (Wednesday) to May 22nd (Wednesday).
[Wheat Slave]’s signature product, “Zak Zaku Curry Bread,” has won the gold award for four consecutive years at the “Curry Bread Grand Prix (R) 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.” This year, all stores will come together as one to compete in the final competition, aiming for the “Supreme Gold Award,” which is the title of “Japan’s Best Curry Bread.”

[Wheat Slave] Preparing to open 156 stores nationwide! Our first overseas store will open in Bangkok, Thailand in April 2024! The famous “Zak Zaku Curry Bread” is gaining popularity both domestically and internationally.
[Wheat Slave], which was born in Taiki-cho, Hokkaido, has expanded to 118 stores in three years since the start of its franchise. We are currently receiving many requests for membership, and we are preparing to open 156 stores nationwide, including those that are currently open. (As of May 1, 2024) Furthermore, on April 16, 2024, we opened [Wheat Kingdom], the first overseas store of [Wheat Slaves], in the Phrom Phong area of Bangkok, Thailand.
[Wheat Slave]’s signature product, “Zak Zaku Curry Bread,” is made by pasting croutons all around the bread and frying it, which creates a crunchy texture that immediately attracts attention. And when you take a bite, you’ll be addicted to the fragrant and crunchy texture. The inside is filled with a roux made with special spices and chunky potatoes, and the chewy dough that we developed ourselves is said to be delicious even when it’s cold. The product has been well-received in various regions, with many stores selling out immediately after opening.
