◆Overview
On May 1, 2024, ABABA Co., Ltd., a venture company originating from Okayama University, announced that it has joined the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) as of March 1.
This is the first time that a venture from Okayama University has joined Keidanren. Additionally, according to the company, the age of the manager at the time of joining is the youngest in history, and the joining in the fourth year of founding is the fastest in history for a company headquartered in western Japan.
Upon joining the company, Shuntaka Kubo of the University’s Graduate School of Social and Cultural Sciences, who serves as the company’s representative director and CEO, said, “I am very happy that I was able to become a member at this early stage despite being a student venture and still inexperienced.” As a member of Keidanren, we are determined to further build on our trust and provide services with even greater responsibility.”

〇Japan Business Federation (Keidanren)
It is made up of 1,512 representative Japanese companies, 107 national organizations in major industries such as manufacturing and services, and 47 regional economic organizations (as of April 1, 2023). Its mission, as a comprehensive economic organization, is to draw out the vitality of companies and the individuals and communities that support them, and to contribute to the autonomous development of the Japanese economy and the improvement of people’s lives. To this end, we compile the opinions of the business community on a wide range of important domestic and international issues that the business community faces, and work to steadily and quickly realize them. At the same time, we are promoting dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders, including politics, government, labor unions, and citizens. Furthermore, we encourage member companies to comply with the Charter of Corporate Behavior and strive to establish trust in our companies. We also work to resolve international issues and communicate with other countries through dialogue with governments, economic organizations, and international organizations.
