Graduated from Osaka University School of Medicine in 1979. First professor of plastic surgery at Osaka University. Professor emeritus at Osaka University, honorary member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, editor-in-chief of the monthly academic journal “Plastic Surgery,” and executive director of the Japanese Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has served as the president of the Japanese Society of Plastic Surgery and the president of the Japanese Society of Plastic Surgery Techniques.
