We have established a new general incorporated association, Every Star Story, as an organization that implements programs aimed at resolving social issues in Okinawa. By solving operational issues such as employment and support systems in existing organizations, which were obstacles to support activities, through the framework of an incorporated association, we will be able to support program participants who are facing issues, organizations implementing them, and those who support them. We aim to make it easier for companies to collaborate, go beyond the boundaries of existing organizations, and expand the range of activities, support, and problem-solving. In addition, “MOM FoR STAR”, which has been active as one of the implementing organizations of the “Okinawa Single Mothers Promotion Platform Construction Project” until March 2024, will be active under Every Star Story, a general incorporated association. I will continue to do so. In order to make this a place where more participants can play an active role, we will start crowdfunding from May 31st. Employment support and community support through the employment support project “MOM FoR STAR” and the digital human resource development program “Yuitoiro College” promoted by Umusan Lab Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture, Representative Director: Takashi Hiyane) We consolidated our activities and established Every Star Story, a general incorporated association. Since Every Star Story was established as a non-profit general incorporated association, we can accept a wide range of support from existing support projects and organizations, as well as donations and supplies. At the time of establishment, our current activities will be the main focus, but in the future, we will seamlessly connect activities that support the social participation of diverse human resources, providing lifestyle and mental support, basic skills training, and practical experience. We aim to become a place where each person can draw their own story of how they can play an active role in society in their own way.

Up until now, Umusan Lab has been working on various social issues and also supporting organizations that carry out such activities. There are various support organizations, including those from the
government, but I feel that it is more important to continue our activities by connecting within a larger framework than by working individually.
I have also seen program participants who are facing challenges change themselves through serious efforts, and I have seen children change as they watch their mothers take on challenges.
In order to further develop these efforts, we aim to create a society that respects the meaning and value of each individual being born into this world, and where everyone can live their own lives while maintaining their dignity. Background of establishment of general incorporated association and main activities
As each organization has continued its activities for more than three years to solve social issues, the number of initiatives in
collaboration with the government and other organizations has increased, and the range of support has expanded. As a result, we believe that by working together beyond the framework of existing organizations, we can change the situation of many people, including the single mothers who are working on this project.
On the other hand, we also faced challenges when collaborating with government and private organizations. Problems can arise when activities are distributed among multiple organizations, including problems with hiring procedures for participants, the need for a clear entity, the physical strength of supporting corporations, and accounting procedures. The non-profit incorporated association that will be established this time will solve problems for the management and participants, and will lead to more advanced activities. -About activity details-
1: Employment support activity for single mothers “MOM FoR STAR” This is a work/collaboration project in the digital design field for single mothers in Okinawa. By collaborating with companies in Tokyo and Okinawa, and Okinawa’s single mother support organizations, we aim to support skill and career advancement, achieve economic stability, and create an environment where you can work with fulfillment. This project was selected as one of the implementing organizations for the “Okinawa Single Mothers Promotion Platform Construction Project,” a fund distribution project by the “Orion Beer Scholarship
Foundation,” which utilizes dormant deposits, and will be active for three years starting in 2021. I’ve been doing it. To date, 17 single mother trainees and 37 children have been involved, and members are still involved in the actual work.

2: “Yuitoiro College”
“Yuitoiro College” provides women who have not had the opportunity to improve their skills up until now a chance to build a sustainable career through a six-month training program that suits them. In 2023, 25 students who wanted to “change their future” took on the challenge as a project commissioned by the Cabinet Office.
In addition, Umusan Lab Co., Ltd. not only provides training programs for diverse human resources, but also supports the development and accompaniment of social entrepreneurs who are working towards solving social issues in Okinawa, and provides management support for businesses that “enrich society.” By providing support and impact investment, and creating a “robust and gentle economic cycle where we can share wealth,” we will communicate the future of society from Okinawa to the world and into the future.

Until now, the MOM FoR STAR project has been highly praised outside of Okinawa Prefecture for its collaboration between Tokyo and local regions, and its system of working and growing while learning in the community, rather than just learning through training and quitting. Award, Work Story Award 2021, WORK DESIGN AWARD 2023, and many other awards. We were also featured in many media outlets, including NHK, and many people were interested in our activities.
