“Keiji Maeda Kabuki Tabi STAGE&LIVE” will be held in Tokyo and Osaka in September 2024.
～Higo Tora Kato Kiyomasa Edition～” will be performed in Tokyo from September 27th (Friday) to October 6th (Sunday) at Theater H, a new theater scheduled to open in June, and in Osaka from October 31st. It has been decided that the performance will be held at Sankei Hall Breeze from (Thursday) to November 4th (Monday, holiday)!

Keiji Maeda is the latest work of historical manga that manga artist Tetsuo Hara has been drawing for many years.

This is Ryo Hirano, who plays the role of Gonichi. It is an honor to be involved in this exciting work that allows us to feel the faith and spirit of a turbulent time. I think that the individual intentions and misunderstandings that are unique to this era, as well as the contradictory trust and collusion, have something that appeals to modern society as well. There is no doubt that the action will be flashy and it will be a spectacular stage performance. However, Gonichi may not fight much because he is a Kyogen performer, but he does his best to add spice and accent to the work with words and movements, and to be like a lubricant.

Bizarre people are people who love unusual shapes and eccentric actions, and live their lives according to their will!
A year after the Battle of Sekigahara, Hinomoto was becoming a world of peace. Keiji Maeda, who was once awarded a “discipline for curiosity” by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the ruler of the world, and ran through many places as a genius, is now living in seclusion in Kyoto.
One day, Keiji hears from Gonichi, a popular gambler, a legend about a treasure that is rumored to be hidden somewhere in Kyushu. Keiji, seeking the wind of Ikusa in a world without Ikusa, decides to travel to Higo in Kyushu, calling it a “Kan sightseeing”.
Waiting in the fertile land of Higo is Kiyomasa Kato, the Higo tiger known as Wasamon (meaning “weird” in the Higo language). Keiji and Kiyomasa are two naturally cool people who hit it off right away. Eventually, the two become engulfed in a huge conspiracy surrounding the treasure, involving the Tokugawa family and the Nanban people.
