We are launching a product development support project aimed at creating a safe and secure Tokyo. Pre-application entries will be accepted until July 3rd (Wednesday).
* [What is the product development support project for realizing a safe and secure Tokyo?] *
There is an urgent need to respond to a variety of crises, including the increasing severity and frequency of natural disasters,
increasingly sophisticated and sophisticated cyber-attacks, and indiscriminate crimes and accidents occurring in various locations. We accept applications for projects with a variety of “safety and security” themes, including disaster prevention and mitigation, child safety measures, business risk measures, and security measures. In addition, we provide consistent support in two phases, from
“development/improvement” to “promotion of dissemination,” and a wide range of expenses can be covered by subsidies.

*● Double the upper limit on direct personnel costs (up to 10 million yen)* From this fiscal year, we will expand the upper limit on direct labor costs for the development and improvement phase from 5 million yen to 10 million yen. In addition, “time spent directly engaged in processes related to hardware production and inspection,” which was an ineligible expense until last year, will now be an eligible expense.

Small and medium-sized businesses (companies and sole proprietorships) who have been conducting substantial business activities at their head office or branch office in Tokyo for more than one year

This subsidy project consists of two phases: product development and improvement and promotion, and the details of each subsidy are as follows.

* 1. Development/improvement phase (required) *

Subsidy period: November 1, 2020 to July 31, 2020 (within 1 year and 9 months) Subsidy limit: 15 million yen (subsidy rate within 2/3)
Subsidized expenses:
Raw material/auxiliary material costs/machinery/tools/equipment costs/consignment costs/industrial property rights
application/introduction costs/direct personnel costs

*2. Promotion phase (optional) *

Grant period:
Within one year from the day after the completion inspection date of 1 or July 31, 2020, whichever is earlier

Subsidy limit: 3.5 million yen (subsidy rate within 1/2)
(1) Introduction cost subsidy for leading users* Up to 2 million yen (2) Exhibition exhibition/advertisement expenses subsidy: 1.5 million yen maximum
Subsidized expenses:
(1) Introduction cost subsidies for leading users
Raw materials/auxiliary materials costs/machinery/tools/equipment costs/consignment costs/direct labor costs
(2) Subsidy for exhibiting at exhibitions and advertising expenses  Exhibition exhibition fee/advertisement fee

Leading users: Users who are expected to lead to improved external evaluation and reliability by introducing a product that has been put into practical use during the development and improvement phase, and to have a positive impact on subsequent dissemination.
