Modern storage trends where living and storage space is shrinking! “Another Closet” that utilizes the trunk room
*1 in 3 people gave up/compromised on storage space when choosing a home*

In light of the increasing number of people changing their clothes and seasonal home appliances, Quraz Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Steve Spohn) has hired 449 men and women in their 20s to 50s who live in Tokyo and live in rental homes. We conducted a survey on lifestyle and storage space. In urban centers where housing prices are soaring and living space is shrinking, storage space is shrinking, and the supply of ultra-small properties is increasing.

This time, we will introduce the results of the survey as well as the idea of “Another Closet,” which utilizes trunk rooms, as a modern storage trend as living and storage space tends to shrink.
*One in three people gave up/compromised on storage space when choosing a home* When we asked the subjects of this survey (men and women in their 20s to 50s who live in Tokyo and live in rental homes) about their level of satisfaction with the storage space in their homes, *
More than half (53.7%) were found to be dissatisfied*
. Also, when asked why they were dissatisfied, the most common response was “because the items they originally wanted to store were not in space (49.0%)”, indicating that many people were dissatisfied with the lack of storage capacity. It was the result.
*More than 1 in 3 people (43.7%) compromised or gave up on storage space when choosing a home*
It has also become clear that. When living in rental properties in Tokyo and other metropolitan areas, it is assumed that many people worry about storage space.
*More than 60% (65.7%) agree with the style of locating insufficient storage space outside the home “Another Closet” is a modern storage trend where space is limited*
*
When asked about their intention to live a lifestyle in which they choose a small property with insufficient storage space and use an outside service to store their daily necessities, more than 60% (65.7%) of people in their 20s to 30s said they would choose this lifestyle. I answered that I can relate*
. In addition, we surveyed the sympathetic group (295 valid responses) about the usage status of “storage rooms,” which could be a means of achieving this. As a result, currently using it (10.7%), considering using it (28.9%), *
Approximately 40% (39.5%) were found to support “storage room”*. In Tokyo, where living and storage space is shrinking, * “Another Closet” replaces insufficient storage space with a trunk room * can be a valid solution. When you have limited space at home, there are limits to how much you can create storage space. By using a trunk room as a storage space outside your home in addition to your own, you can increase your chances of creating your ideal home space.
