Okayama Prefecture Nagi Town Hall Information Planning Division National Childcare Support Conference sponsored by Nagi Town ~ Children, Smiles, and the Future ~ June 3rd, “Conference Report” released

In Nagi Town, Okayama Prefecture, we created a conference report for the “National Childcare Support Conference – Children, Smiles, and the Future”, which was held in Honmachi last year. In addition to distributing the report booklet to related local governments, the report will also be posted on the Nagi Town official website.

On November 10, 2020, the “National Childcare Support Conference” was sponsored by Nagi Town, with cooperation from the Children and Family Affairs Agency and Okayama Prefecture. This conference was held in Nagi Town with the participation of 29 people, including employees and people involved in childcare support from local governments across the country, and experts on childcare, with the aim of deepening thoughts on future childcare support.
The day began with a keynote speech by Mr. Takahashi, Deputy Director-General of the Children and Families Agency, about the efforts of the Children and Families Agency, followed by an
introduction to Nagi Town’s childcare support measures, and the childcare support efforts of each local government with a small population that cooperated with us. The seminar was divided into three subcommittees, where experts exchanged information on their efforts and experiences, and held discussions in three subcommittees. We received high praise from the participants, who said that it was a very meaningful meeting and that the information on initiatives in each region was very helpful.
We have now completed a “report” that compiles the information introduced and discussed at the meeting as realistically as possible. The entire 72-page booklet contains comments from those who
participated on the day, making it a valuable booklet that brings together a variety of information related to “child-rearing support” and can serve as a reference for those involved.
This booklet is being distributed to local governments and experts who participated on the day, as well as local governments who attended the conference.
Additionally, the contents of this meeting report will be posted on the Nagi Town website.
