Yamanashi Chuo Bank, Ltd.
We have introduced CO2-free electricity generated at Yamanashi Prefectural Hydroelectric Power Plant to bases inside and outside Yamanashi Prefecture.
……
Starting in April 2022, the Yamanashi Chuo Bank, Ltd. (President Kasho Furuya) has been introducing CO2-free electricity generated at the Yamanashi Prefectural Hydroelectric Power Plant to its head office and computer center building.
As part of our efforts to strengthen our efforts to realize a further decarbonized society, we are pleased to announce that we are launching the renewed “Shin Yamanashi Power Hometown Hydropower Plan”
(hereinafter referred to as “Shin Yamanashi Power”) with two bases in Yamanashi Prefecture. We have newly introduced the system to all six locations outside Yamanashi Prefecture where it can be installed (the receiving voltage is high voltage). This brings the total number of our facilities to 10 that have introduced electricity derived from hydroelectric power generation. Furthermore, our bank is the first office whose head office is in Yamanashi Prefecture to introduce “Shin Yamanashi Power” to a base outside of Yamanashi Prefecture.
In addition, this electricity will be supplied at a rate that is the standard electricity rate plus an amount earmarked for measures such as Yamanashi Prefecture’s environmental conservation projects, so you can contribute to Yamanashi Prefecture’s environmental conservation by paying your electricity bill. can do.
1. Overview of “Shin Yamanashi Power”
This is CO2-free electricity generated at the Yamanashi Prefectural Hydroelectric Power Plant, provided by Yamanashi Prefecture and TEPCO Energy Partner, Inc. By limiting the power source to electricity generated by a hydroelectric power plant owned by the Yamanashi Prefectural Enterprise Bureau, this electricity has a zero CO2 emission coefficient.
2. Introduction base
Bases in Yamanashi Prefecture: Training Center, YC Takeda Dori Building Bases outside Yamanashi Prefecture: Tokyo Branch, Mejirodai Branch, Hachioji Branch, Chofu Branch, Tachikawa Branch, Ogikubo Branch 3. Introduction period
Sunday, June 2, 2024 – Thursday, March 31, 2025 (planned to reapply after the period expires)
4. Benefits
Through this project, the Bank will be able to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 418 tons (*) per year (CO2 emissions reduction effect of approximately 6%).
*Calculated based on the annual power consumption results for 2022. -Click here for details-
