[Event Participant Recruitment] SMBC Group’s Social Value Creation: A conversation event between Susumu Tsubaki and Toshiro Hirose will be held at Olive LOUNGE Shibuya store!

As part of its efforts to create social value, the company
(collectively referred to as the “SMBC Group”) has opened the newly opened “Olive LOUNGE”.
We plan to hold regular events at our Shibuya store with the concept of “supporting the first step towards a better future.”
The first event, on June 18th (Tuesday), will be a free conversation event between Susumu Tsubaki, author of “Africa’s Super Accelerating Economy,” and Toshiro Hirose, former captain of Japan’s rugby team.
The two entrepreneurs, who have something in common through their projects in Africa, will speak on a variety of topics, including the motivation behind starting a business, their thoughts on contributing to society and solving social issues, and messages for the younger generation. If you would like to participate, please apply using the application form below.

Mr. Susumu Tsubaki
As a partner and managing director of Boston Consulting Group, Inc. (BCG), he has implemented projects such as business strategy, M&A strategy, new business launch, and globalization in the fields of high technology, information and communications, the Internet, and media and content.
From 1995 to 1996, worked in the San Francisco office. He has 15 years of experience consulting for major telecommunications companies, major mobile phone companies, major electronics manufacturers, major high-tech parts companies, major game companies, major television stations, IT/net companies, consumer goods companies, etc.
In 2006, he became the representative director and president of a listed company. He has served as an outside director of Takara Tomy Co., Ltd., Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd., Atlas Co., Ltd., etc. Founded the current Asia Africa Investment & Consulting (AAIC) in 2008. Appointed as Representative Director and
President/Representative Partner.
In emerging countries such as China, Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, and Africa, we provide services such as new business
development, market entry support, M&A and partner search support, and business transformation support through consulting and investment. In 2014, we established Japan’s first fund exclusively for Africa. Currently running the Africa Healthcare Fund (AHF No. 1).

Born in 1981 in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture. He started playing rugby at the age of 5 at Suita Rugby School, and played for Osaka
Prefectural Kitano High School, Keio University, and Toshiba Brave Lupus. At Toshiba, he achieved number one in Japan as a captain. In 2007, he was selected as a member of the Japanese national team and served as captain for two years from 2012. After retiring from active duty, he obtained an MBA from Business Breakthrough University Graduate School. At the Rugby World Cup 2019, “Scrum
