The long-awaited “RAW WINE TOKYO”, which will be held for the first time in Asia, features over 200 natural wine producers from over 15 countries around the world, as well as popular restaurants in Tokyo that offer food that is perfect for pairing. “Bonton”, “Longrain”, “apero”, and “Normtea” opened stores.
The first batch of tickets, which went on sale in March, sold out within five days, and additional tickets sold in May also sold out in just two days, and we received many voices of anticipation for the event even before the event began.
On the day of the event, approximately 1,600 visitors participated over the two days. We had the opportunity to interact directly with producers and brewers from around the world, including popular domestic wines and wines from around the world that have not yet arrived in Japan, and enjoy the food that goes perfectly with them.

Among the wines on display, there were especially many wines that had not yet arrived in Japan, and visitors commented, “These were all wines I had never encountered before, but they were all fascinating and full of new discoveries.” “I hope to see you again next year in Japan.” We received many comments expressing their expectations for the next event. As this is the first event in Japan, Japanese wine producers and sake breweries are also participating, including Domaine Takahiko from Hokkaido and La Grande Colline Japon from Okayama. It was a lively event with many foreign producers and visitors visiting. ■Comment from RAW WINE president Isabelle Rougeron MW
