“Ikebukuro Mystery Town” is a project that aims to develop over 20 mystery attractions throughout Ikebukuro and make Ikebukuro a sacred place for mystery. We are pleased to announce the release of the fourth collaboration attraction series with the mystery manga “Kindaichi Case Files (*)”.
In this series, Kindaichi’s greatest nemesis, “Hell’s Puppet Master” Harukaichi Takato, is working behind the scenes to create Ikebukuro, a city of perfect crime, and players must solve the mystery in order to stop him. This work is Tobu Department Store
Set in the Ikebukuro main store, the player becomes a detective and unravels the mystery of a mysterious murder that occurred inside the store. You can enjoy a mystery attraction where you can work together with Kindaichi and his fellow detectives to solve a realistic “authentic mystery” that unfolds using “drama footage performed by actual actors” and the “audio guide app “Pokke.” *

*Synopsis of this work*
The incident occurred on the day of rehearsal for the “Miracle Show” to be held on the rooftop stage of Tobu Department Store. When Yosuke Itsuki, a reportage writer, smells the scent of an incident, he enters the Tobu Department Store and finds detective Daigo Mayuzumi there. The two men spoke in unison when they saw the red roses left at the scene. “This incident involves Hell’s puppet master, Yoichi Takato!” Although Kindaichi was not in Tokyo, he decided to remotely cooperate with the mystery, and Daigo Mayuzumi and the detective in charge, Yukio Kishitani, summoned the best detectives from all over the country. And the detective decides to solve the case with Kindaichi and Mayuzumi’s double detective team!

A lineup of various genres such as murder mystery, round-trip puzzle solving, and full-scale mystery. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the artist’s debut, this is an industry-government-academia collaboration project that aims to make Ikebukuro a “sacred place for mystery” by setting up hands-on mystery attractions throughout Ikebukuro. Toshima Ward, Taisho University, the shopping district, Sunshine City, and others have collaborated to release more than 20 attractions at various locations in Ikebukuro, which will be updated regularly. We plan to mobilize 100,000 people a year.
