Furthermore, a revival boom has begun for CDs following vinyl records, and sales of CDs have continued to increase worldwide for the past three years, and domestically sales have increased by 108% compared to the previous year*1 since last year.
Behind this is the resurgence and spread of the style of easily enjoying music through music streaming services, supporting songs and artists that you like by purchasing their records and CDs, and paying closer attention to them. In this day and age where you can listen to anything on your smartphone, the very act of listening to music on a CD has become a special experience and has deep meaning.
ARCAM, which is taking on the challenge of crowdfunding this time, was founded in 1976 by students from the prestigious University of Cambridge in the UK, and has been developing audio products that combine simple and beautiful design with rich musicality for over 40 years.
