Let’s celebrate the 10th anniversary of the animation studio “Tonko House” at Shibuya PARCO “Hobonichi Sunday”!
*There will also be screenings of Tonko House masterpieces. * On July 14, 2024, the animation studio “Tonko House” will celebrate its 10th anniversary since its establishment!
Therefore, we will hold a “Birthday Party Exhibition” to send “Congratulations!” to Tonko House from “Hobonichi”, which has been supporting us with its content and events, at “Hobonichi” on the 8th floor of Shibuya PARCO.
In the colorfully decorated venue, we will be showcasing works created over the past 10 years, from the Academy Award-nominated film “The Dam Keeper” to the latest work “Bottle George,” along with valuable materials from the production process. .
Furthermore, what makes the exhibition colorful are the messages from everyone. The words and pictures submitted will become part of the exhibition, creating a celebratory space. The full version of Tonko House’s masterpieces will be shown, and there will also be a cute cafe exclusive to this exhibition.
Whether you are a fan of Tonko House or a newcomer, please come as if you were attending a birthday party.

That message will become part of the exhibit. * This event is called the “Tonko House 10th Anniversary Exhibition,” but it will be held as a place for us at Hobonichi and our customers to celebrate “Tonko House,” which has turned 10 years old. At this exhibition, we are looking for messages from visitors! What you think after watching the work, what you like about your favorite characters, recommendations for those who are about to watch it, memories about Tonko House, things you would like to convey to the creators involved in the production, etc. Message cards will be placed in various parts of the exhibition corner, so if you can think of any, please write (draw) as many as you can. (You are also welcome to bring your own messages from home.) You are free to post the message anywhere you like in the exhibition hall! Basically, you can paste it anywhere within “Almost Sunday”. (*Please refrain from touching exhibits such as works and panels, and move to other vacant walls.) “Dam Keeper”, which is the origin of Tonko House and is also a masterpiece, is now available at Hobonichi’s directly managed store “TOBICHI Kyoto” (251-2 Ichinomachi, Shijo Shimoru, Kawaramachi-dori, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto Prefecture)
It will be specially shown on the 5th floor of the Kotobuki Building. Since the inside of the store will be divided into screening spaces, it will be a space similar to a small movie theater where only a small number of people can enter.
