Tokyo Robotics Co., Ltd. (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yoshihiro Sakamoto), which pursues cutting-edge robot technology, has developed Torobo, a force-controllable full-body humanoid robot for researchers, and Torobo, a multi-fingered hand robot.
We will start providing the latest version of “Hand”. *

Recently, the generation of robot motions using generative AI has been attracting attention, but the discrepancy between the motions generated by AI and the real world can lead to the destruction of the object being operated or the robot itself. Torobo and Torobo Hand’s compliance characteristics using impedance control allow it to parry external forces, imitate external restraints, and absorb shock. This enables stable operation even in environments with a lot of contact. In addition, because it has the same size and output (portability) as a human, it is ideal for research and development assuming actual work on site.

* Provided with minimal configuration *

*Joint configuration that enables skillful object manipulation* ・The index finger, middle finger, and ring finger each have 3 joints (2 drive axes), and the thumb has 4 joints (all drive axes), allowing for skillful object manipulation.
* Impedance control possible for each joint*
・By giving flexibility to the joints, it is possible to imitate various shapes and prevent finger pointing.
*Replaceable contact sensor*
・More than 20 contact sensors (single-axis pressure sensors) are built into the fingers and palms, but buyers can replace the sensors themselves for more advanced tactile sensing.
* ROS2 compatible *
・Since it is compatible with ROS2, it is easy to combine with other robots and sensors.
