Vocalist MISIA, who has always attracted attention for her high musicality, intelligence, energy, and message, will be performing for the first time in eight years with a special band led by New York-based trumpeter Takuya Kurota. Furthermore, Tsuyoshi Domoto’s creative project .ENDRECHERI. will be appearing for the first time!

The lineup for the first day of “Blue Note JAZZ FESTIVAL (BNJF) in JAPAN 2024” includes Nas, the top rapper/lyricist known as the King of MCs, and Parliament-Funkadelic, led by the living legend of the funk world, feat. George. Clinton, MISIA & Takuya Kurota BAND, who gave a legendary performance at BNJF in 2016, and Tsuyoshi Domoto, who started his activities after being impressed by “P-Funk”, .ENDRECHERI. On the second day, Chicago, who has sold over 100 million CDs and records worldwide, will be the headliner, and the one and only ensemble group Snarky Puppy will perform. Performers from across generations and genres will gather at the new venue, Ariake Arena in Tokyo!
New York’s early summer tradition has returned to Japan for the first time in 8 years!
BNJF was sponsored by Blue Note New York and started in 2011. It has become an established early summer tradition in New York, filled with jazz and a variety of music over the course of a month at multiple venues including clubs and theaters. This year’s lineup includes veterans such as Wynton Marsalis and Michelle Camilo, as well as the current hot topic Yusef Days. It will be held in Napa (California) from 2022, and will further evolve with Robert Glasper as
artist-in-residence, Dave Chappelle as host, and appearances by Mary J. Blige, Thundercat, Snoop Dogg, and more. ing.
It was held for the first time in Japan in 2015, with performances by Jeff Beck, Pat Metheny, Robert Glasper, Hiatus Kaiyote, Incognito, and others on the Yokohama Red Brick Outdoor Stage, followed by Earth Wind & Fire and George in 2016.・Benson, MISIA x Takuya Kurota, Marcus Miller and others appeared.
