We conducted a survey regarding the actual state of annual income. We would like to inform you of the results of this investigation.

Since childhood, there are many people who have admired a particular car model or manufacturer, saying, “I want to drive that imported car someday!” However, when it comes to actually owning one, the only thing to worry about is the financial aspect. Many people may be worried about whether they can purchase and maintain a home with their own income. Therefore, in order to find out the actual situation, Foreign Car King conducted a survey about the average annual income of imported car owners in the world as imagined by imported car enthusiasts and their own actual annual income.

The most common amount was 7 million to 10 million yen, accounting for 39.9%. The second most common item was 10 million yen or more at 28.4%, and the third most common was 5 million to 7 million yen at 27%. According to the “Reiwa 4 Private Sector Salary Statistics Survey” conducted by the National Tax Agency, the average salary for Japanese people is 4.58 million yen, which far exceeds that level. 2nd place: 7 million to 10 million yen 24.8%
3rd place: 5 million to 7 million yen 22.8%
4th place: 3 million to 5 million yen 14.1%
5th place: 0 to 3 million yen 8.7%
The most common item was 10 million yen or more at 29.5%. This is followed by 7 million to 10 million yen (24.8%) and 5 million to 7 million yen (22.8%). Although there are some differences, the same annual income range as in Q1 generally dominates.
On the other hand, the percentage of people in the annual income range of 3 million to 5 million yen and 0 to 3 million yen is also surprising. In Q1, the estimated average annual income of imported car owners was 3.4% between 3 million and 5 million yen, 1.4% between 0 and 3 million yen, whereas in reality 14.1% was between 3 million and 5 million yen. It was found that 8.7% of the companies are in the range of 0 to 3 million yen. Although the idea that imported car owners = high-income earners is true, it has become clear that even people with below-average salaries own cars. Isn’t this a welcome fact for those who have given up on purchasing imported cars due to income constraints?

We found that many imported car owners have higher incomes than the average annual income in Japan, and in some cases they own multiple cars.
