[Lecture co-sponsorship report] The co-sponsored lectures at the 80th Japanese Academy of Midwives Luncheon Seminar, “Skin care starting from the newborn period” and “Creating healthy skin with skin care starting the day after birth” were a huge success.

This seminar, chaired by Dr. Masayo Takada of Kobe City College of Nursing, was held for about 170 midwives from all over the country on the theme of the necessity of skin care from newborn babies. Dr. Naoko Baba, a physician, gave a lecture on “Points for specific guidance to help parents understand and practice the importance of continuing skin care, which starts immediately after birth.” In addition, Dr. Akemi Fuse, vice president and director of nursing at Hori Hospital, gave a lecture on “Daily skin care methods to develop the skin’s barrier function, reduce the incidence of allergies, and prevent allergic march.”
