A trailer house-type accommodation facility currently located at the highest point in Japan.

Jinba-gatayama has been loved by many people as a place with a spectacular view.
From the summit of Mt. Jinba-gata (altitude 1,445 m), you can see Japan’s highest mountain ranges, the Central Alps (highest peak 2,956 m) and the Southern Alps (highest peak 2,956 m).

We have set up an accommodation building with the idea that we would like people to enjoy the wonderful scenery that can be experienced at this location, just like in a movie.

Jinba Katayama Campsite (Jinba Kata no Mori Park), located at the top of Jinba Katayama (1445m), restarted as a paid campsite in 2021.
In terms of management, the most important thing we have focused on is “creating a place where people can enjoy the scenery slowly.” To this end, we have worked hard to create spaces, services, and rules for our facilities that place importance on improving the quality of each individual experience.

Many of our customers sympathize with our efforts to create a place like this, and we have many campers who come back to camp again.We have become a popular campground that is always fully booked on weekends and has an occupancy rate of over 50% on weekdays, and is loved by many people. I was able to become a place where I could be.

While running the campground, we have always wanted to “deliver the experience of spending time in this spectacular scenery to as many people as possible.”
However, the nature at the top of Mt. Jinbakata, which stands tall in the middle of Ina Valley, is harsh, with strong sunlight, temperature fluctuations, and sometimes strong winds. Unless you go camping, you will not be able to spend a long time facing this scenery. It was impossible.
* We want to create a place where everyone can take their time and fully soak in this spectacular view, even if they’re not good at the outdoors, don’t have a tent, or can only sleep on a futon. * We started the “KINO Jinba Katayama” lodging business attached to a campsite based on the idea that a society that coexists with nature can be found where more people encounter the beauty of nature.
* Architecture designed to enjoy the scenery *
This time, the accommodation building will be a one-of-a-kind model in the world that has been completely original designed and manufactured with attention to detail under the theme of “architecture for enjoying the scenery from Mt. Jinbagata.”
We adopted a 20ft trailer house in order to satisfy various conditions prior to installation, keeping in mind the layout plan and exterior design that would not disrupt the existing park scenery.
For production, all design, production, and service design will be handled by the architectural design studio independently established by Yuki Akiyama, who has been active as the director of Jinba Katayama campsite management since 2021.
We commissioned Blah Blah Craft Corporation (Nakagawa Village, Nagano Prefecture).
In the design, given the limited floor space of a 20ft trailer (approximately 15 square meters), we created a “movie theater-like place” as a place to see the scenery, which is different from the livability and comfort of a typical hotel. ”, and strive to maintain a balance by making sure that items that improve livability are stored as much as possible.
We created the largest possible opening in the living room to enjoy the view, and in order to enjoy the view even at night, we designed a lighting plan and selected materials for the walls to prevent reflections inside the room from the glass surfaces. By carefully adjusting the sequence, the openings between rooms, the lighting plan, and the height difference from the deck, we are able to create a variety of scenes and enjoy them even in a small space.
With the “box” of the accommodation building, you can enjoy the scenery even more. We created this product with the aim of creating that experience.
The Nagano Prefectural Office is currently promoting the discovery of tourism resources utilizing the prefecture’s natural parks and the commercialization of nature experience activities. This project utilized the Nagano Prefecture Tourism Organization’s FY2020 Outdoor Activities Operator Strengthening Support Project Subsidy.

At KINO Jinba Katayama, we prioritize time to see the scenery, and we do not provide services for meals with fixed serving times. Instead, we offer several options for you to enjoy your meal at a time that suits your mood that day, as listed below, so please choose on-site. We offer meals and drinks made with local ingredients.
– * Enjoy a barbecue with game meat under the starry sky. * We have carefully selected wild game (boar, bear, bear, etc.), Shinshu Premier Beef, and more at the shop, so you can enjoy a barbecue outside. Enjoy grilling on a 5mm thick iron plate.

We offer it in pouches so you can eat just what you want when you want. Enjoy dishes made with plenty of local ingredients, including wild game, while enjoying the view.

You can also bring your own food. The in-room mini-kitchen is not that large, but basic cooking utensils and seasonings are provided, so you can enjoy cooking your own meals.

The cafe and shop attached to the campsite offer a variety of juices from the local Ina Valley, famous for its fruit production, craft beers from producers around the world, Imanishiki, a sake brewery at the foot of Mt. Jimmagata, and water from the Central Alps. We have a wide selection of distilled spirits and Mars whiskey. Please enjoy with the scenery.
