This is a space where you can relax together. The facility is a three-story steel-framed structure that emphasizes the Japanese style to create a sense of unity with the Shinkansen station building. On the first floor, there is a tourist information center, Afrea Square, and Afrea Hall, and a 200-inch monitor has been installed on the wall of the hall. The second floor houses the Fukui Museum, which provides information on the charms of Awara and major tourist spots in the area, and is adjacent to a children’s space. The 3rd floor is connected to the east-west free passage, allowing smooth movement to the Shinkansen station building. Afrea, a general incorporated association, holds events 12 times a year at Afrea in order to disseminate attractive information in and around Awara City, create and spread hustle and bustle, and promote interaction among facility users.
