Okamoto won the Ladeis Championship at the world’s largest poker tournament, WSOP, held in Las Vegas in July of this year, making her the first Japanese woman to achieve this feat. After that, he won the RDPT Jeju Dragon Quest held in South Korea at the end of July, and this is his third world championship victory, winning a total of more than 50 million yen in prize money. This year alone, the ranking of Japanese people’s lifetime prize money has jumped from 88th place (approximately 30 million yen) to 27th place (approximately 93 million yen).
