[Event Report] Hanamaki Higashi High School, the prestigious school that produced Yusei Kikuchi and Shohei Otani, holds a “Dream Presentation Class” for all students and training for teachers Opportunity to learn to develop confidence and get one step closer to realizing your dreams and goals by “putting them into words” ……
Hanamaki Higashi High School, which is known as the alma mater of Yusei Kikuchi and Shohei Otani, introduced a special curriculum for all students in 2019 called “Rise Dream Realization” that utilizes an “original student handbook.” It’s the year. In this year’s third class for all students, each student worked to “present their dreams and goals” to each other. We also held training sessions for teachers once a year.

What the class looked like when I was enrolled 10 years ago
Yusei Kikuchi and Shohei Otani are now famous as world stars. This year, when Samurai Japan won the WBC2023 and won the MVP, it became a hot topic in the news that Otani had set a goal to “win the MVP at the WBC” when he was a student. They graduated from Hanamaki Higashi High School, where they spent their high school days, and are now active on the world stage. They have learned the importance of “describing dreams and goals concretely” and “putting dreams and goals into words.” It proves it.
■Special curriculum jointly developed with an education company that has trained a total of 480,000 people in its fifth year of
implementation.

Hanamaki Higashi High School’s educational policy is “Rise of the Spirit, Realization of Dreams.” It literally means establishing your aspirations and dreams and living each day by working backwards from there. In order to further spread this educational philosophy, in 2019, we developed an original notebook “Ritsushi Dream Realization Planner” in collaboration with Achievement Co., Ltd., a human resources education professional who has trained a total of 480,000 people. Using notebooks and video teaching materials, we have been working on a special curriculum to help students “live their high school lives backwards from medium- to long-term goals with an eye on working life.”
This is the 5th year of the “Ritsushi Dream Realization Special Curriculum,” and in the 3rd class of this year on Friday, November 24th, we held a special class where students “presented their dreams and goals to each other.”

The students presented various dreams and goals, such as “I want to become a sports trainer!”, “I want to become a midwife!” and “I want to get into Waseda University!”.
If I were the person making that dream come true, I thought about specific goals and plans for what I would accomplish over the next year or by the time I graduate, and announced them to my friends. Every day, students face their dreams and goals using the original student handbook, “Ritsushi Dream Realization Planner.” It was an opportunity for the students to learn that by putting their dreams and goals into words, they can develop confidence and strengthen their resolve, taking one step closer to realizing their dreams and goals. ■Share how to use notebooks and teaching methods at teacher training to further develop teaching skills
Many of the teachers also use the same original notebook as the students, “Ritsushi Dream Realization Planner,” to provide guidance to students in their daily homeroom sessions. At the beginning of the training, students shared examples of how to use their notebooks based on the students’ questionnaires.
In the second half, we will discuss what characteristics students, known as Generation Z, have and how best to interact with them, as well as examples from the instructor’s work as a seamstress manager, and what teachers feel on a daily basis. It was an opportunity for the participants to discuss their current questions and issues and aim to further improve their leadership skills.
