Naruto City is implementing Otetsutabi at a resort hotel as its first initiative after entering into a partnership agreement with Otetsutabi Co., Ltd. On October 23rd, there was an interaction between Immigration Exchange PR Ambassador Tomoya Satosaki and the participants.

This resort hotel is located in the scenic Naruto City of Tokushima Prefecture, surrounded by the sea and mountains. Here, the participants and Mr. Satosaki experienced making the bed in the guest room. The two of them were a little nervous on their first day at work, but Satosaki-san’s light-hearted talk gradually eased them. Naruto Grand Hotel Kaigetsu The second location is Naruto Grand Hotel Kaigetsu, which is located near Naruto Park overlooking the Naruto whirlpool, one of the world’s three major tides. This is a ryokan where you can enjoy the magnificent location of Naruto Kancho and the beautiful scenery of each season created by Mother Nature. Here, we worked on preparing for a banquet that had already been booked. Mr. Satosaki, who prides himself as a “professional who does exactly what he is taught,” worked efficiently with the participants.

You can see the Onaruto Bridge spanning the Naruto Strait from the hotel. Here, I worked at a souvenir shop, serving customers, displaying and restocking products, etc. Using his conversational skills, he actively communicated with customers, and even encouraged them to sample soups. Roundtable discussion with Otetsutabi participants After finishing helping, we moved to the “French Monster Setouchi Food Art” and held a roundtable discussion with the Otetsutabi participants. It must have been a valuable experience for the participants, who spent about three weeks working at a resort hotel in Naruto City and living like Naruto citizens.

Up until now, we have been promoting migration exchange using the new migration concept of “half-farming, half-X,” and since 2025, we have been recruiting participants on the “Otetsutabi” platform to experience part-time agricultural work for about two weeks. Started a share house business promoting “half-farming, half-X”. So far, we have hosted 63 people from all over the country during the harvest season for “Naruto Rakkyo” and “Naruto Kintoki.” In July of this year, we concluded a partnership agreement with Otetsutabi Co., Ltd., the first of its kind for a local government. In the future, we plan to expand acceptance not only to the “half-farming, half-X” approach but also to other industries, including the tourism industry.
