Continuing from last year, former Japanese women’s ice hockey representative Hanae Kubo (of Taiyo Life Insurance Co., Ltd.) was invited as the tournament ambassador, and in addition to selecting the players to be awarded, she also gave a presentation at the awards ceremony held at Mercedes-Benz Nishi-Shinjuku on the following day, the 12th. At the award ceremony, the winners were Dokkyo Medical University, Tatsunosuke Kashihara (Dokkyo forward) who won the MVP (Most Valuable Player Award), and Yurino Koike (Dokkyo forward) who won the Hanae Kubo Award for the outstanding female player. Trophies, certificates of commendation, and supplementary prizes were presented to the winners, including Mr. Soichi Akasu, president of Miyazono Import Car Sales Co., Ltd.
Each time the award-winning players were announced, the images of the players displayed on the screen caused cheers, and at the party, the students got to know each other as they chatted with players from other schools, making it a time filled with smiles.
