New Japan Automobile Promotion Association (Shin Jiko) (Head office: Shinkiba, Koto-ku, Tokyo)
(Representative Director: Masina Choda) held the event “Enjoy” as a place to present the activities of the local club “Power Machinery Research Club (Genken)”, which is made up of high school students and their alumni from the northern part of the Izu Peninsula.
We have announced that we will be inviting you to Car World “Minnies 3.8″ 2024 in Kiramesse Numazu, Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture (held on Sunday, April 7th). In addition, Shin Jiko will also exhibit custom cars that contribute to society, and we hope to revitalize the aftermarket parts industry in the future through this unique new custom car event.

[What is the Power Plant Research Department (JAERI)?]
The Motive Power Research Club (Genken) is a local club where high school students and working adults who love vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, and electric scooters gather. This circle, which is based in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, not only researches vehicles and participates in races, but also contributes to the community and develops products for companies.

You can’t drive a car, but you can customize it. High school students who love cars negotiated directly with Toyota Motor Corporation and customized the COMS they received. This vehicle will also be displayed at the event.

“The sharing service for ultra-compact electric vehicles COMS run by private companies has been discontinued in many places, and our club members directly negotiated with them to make effective use of the COMS that were no longer being used. We use the cars at nursing homes and other places, and we also hold coloring contests so that even high school students who cannot drive can experience cars and have fun together.”

“I first encountered the Power Systems Research Department several years ago when they requested a design from my agency.I drew an illustration of a cat holding a spanner, and they named it “Genyan” and they liked it. I was happy to receive it. I got my motorcycle license and we also enjoy touring together. I am moved every day by the activities of JAERI, which pursues many possibilities and dreams, such as maintaining cars and motorcycles, working to revitalize the local area, developing safe electric mobility, and holding safe driving training events. I want to support your dreams. I hope to continue to help everyone at JAERI shine towards their dreams. Coloring contest application form

[Why does Shin Jixing support them? ]
One of Shin Jiko’s three mottos is “enjoy cars,” and the first thing that JIKEN does is to have high school students obtain EV cars themselves and enjoy customizing them to the extent that they can, such as wrapping them. Second, donating items to schools, government offices, and stores for use as part of environmental conservation will lead to SDGs activities.
“I was moved by the drive and love for cars of current high school students and former club members.
Since the event will be held in Shizuoka, I hope that it will be an opportunity to widely publicize the activities of JAERI, which is based in this area, and I would be happy to have an organization like this in these days, when people have said that people are moving away from cars. It’s a win-win if it increases the number of future car drivers and custom enthusiasts. ” says Shin Jiko representative director Masina Hoda.
