Logic and Design Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Kimiaki Sato, hereinafter referred to as Logic and Design), which develops image sharpening algorithms and high-resolution restoration algorithms, has recently acquired shares in Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation. The Company (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Iwao Nagashima) raised funds through a third-party allotment of capital.

[Background and purpose of funding]
Logic & Design was recognized for the high medium- to long-term potential of its unique algorithm technology, and was able to receive funding. Our company has completed the first engineering sample in a development project to turn image sharpening algorithm (4th
generation) technology into a chip (ASIC = LISr-ISP), and is currently preparing for commercialization. We will use this information to further research and develop and commercialize the product in order to mass-produce it and realize the “Anywhere LISr,” as well as to expand our business domain.
