The Tokyo Girls Collection Executive Committee (Planning/Production: W TOKYO Co., Ltd.) will hold “TGC MATSUYAMA 2024 by TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION (hereinafter referred to as TGC Matsuyama 2024)” at the Ehime Budokan on Saturday, July 13, 2024. At TGC, we utilize TGC’s platform to not only disseminate the charms and industries of the region to the whole country, but also to provide opportunities to experience “Tokyo’s cutting edge”, which is our unique philosophy of regional revitalization. Originally, the “TGC Regional Revitalization Project” was launched in 2015. Starting with “TGC Kitakyushu 2015” held in the same year, the region has been expanded year by year to include Hiroshima, Toyama, Shizuoka, Kumamoto, Yamanashi, and Wakayama.
It has been decided that Shikoku will be held for the first time in TGC history as the 8th city to host the event! The venue for the memorable first event in Shikoku is Matsuyama City. Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture is a non-profit city full of diverse resources, including magnificent natural scenery surrounded by the sea and mountains, numerous tourist attractions such as nationally famous hot springs and castles, and traditional culture that can be seen throughout the prefecture. The charm of Matsuyama has just reached its 90th anniversary since it was established as a national park. In front of you is the Seto Inland Sea, Dogo Onsen, which has a history of 3,000 years and is said to be Japan’s oldest hot spring, and which appeared in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, as well as Matsuyama Castle, which has 12 extant castle towers. , delicious seafood, mountain food, and many other attractions. In addition, at the dance workshop show that I produce myself, I mainly focus on creating opportunities for people of all ages and genders to come into contact with dance in order to promote SDG Goal 3, “Good health and well-being for all.” We are happy to do so. The best part of this event is that there is a children’s area, so parents and children can participate together, and everyone from kids to the elderly can have fun, regardless of whether they are good at dancing or not. After the renovation in 1894, the Taisho, Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa periods. Dogo Onsen Main Building continues to shine with the times. After five and a half years of conservation and repair work, the symbol of Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, is now back to life, ready to pass on its historical and cultural value to the next generation.
