*FY2020 Yokohama City Nursing Care Robot Consultation Desk
Accompaniment Support Model Business Practice Report*
Since 2017, he has played a central role in creating measures in various countries to improve productivity in the nursing care field, including creating guidelines for improving productivity in nursing care. TRAPE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Daihiro Kamata) was
commissioned by the Yokohama City Rehabilitation Corporation, a social welfare corporation, to serve as a business advisor for the platform business consultation desk for the development, demonstration, and dissemination of nursing care robots in FY2020, and is working to introduce nursing care robots. We would like to report that we have provided escort support to a nursing care facility, and we have been able to produce results.

[*What is the platform project for the development, demonstration, and dissemination of nursing care robots in 2021*]
This project will establish a local consultation desk, form a network of related organizations including Living Lab (a development promotion organization) that evaluates and verifies the effectiveness of nursing care robots, and prepares a demonstration field. We aim to build a platform and accelerate the flow of development, demonstration, and dissemination of nursing care robots.
In addition, support will be provided for initiatives to improve productivity at nursing care sites that are being led by prefectures, such as the “Comprehensive Project to Promote Nursing Care
Productivity Improvement” that utilizes the Regional Medical and Nursing Care Comprehensive Security Fund, which will be launched in the initial budget for FY2025. will be carried out.

[* Contents and characteristics of TRAPE’s efforts in this project* ] – Provide business explanation when selecting a nursing care business that intends to introduce a nursing care robot
– Support for office activities in line with productivity
improvement guidelines, package models, etc. (4-6 months)
– Includes efforts to build the foundation before introducing nursing care robots

In 2018, TRAPE actually provided accompaniment support to nursing care facilities providing facility services and home services, and the project is based on the “Productivity Improvement Guidelines” that were compiled from the essence of that experience. We provide tools such as Sociwell, TRAPE’s original productivity improvement accompaniment support service, customized to suit the situation of the nursing care facility.

Our customer success staff (person in charge) has close dialogue with project leaders online on a daily basis and supports the promotion of improvement activities without leaving project leaders alone.

As a result, we not only have qualitative and quantitative business improvement effects, but also develop leaders capable of on-site management, team building, and create changes in the workplace toward the desired workplace.

* [Effort themes of model business establishments and results (partial)]* *Theme of the model business*

At a unit-type special nursing home that promotes the employment of foreigners, we have made it easier for both Japanese and foreign care workers to work together by emphasizing dialogue and reviewing the use of nursing care software and communication apps between staff. Initiatives to create an environment and enable smooth information sharing
*Results after the initiative (partial)*

* [Introducing comments from employees of model business offices] * – It was found that things go smoothly when Japanese and foreign care workers are able to communicate without feeling like they are weak against each other.
– I once again understood the importance of dialogue
– I realized once again that all staff members want to provide good care for residents.

* [Introducing comments from managers of model business offices] * *Social Welfare Corporation Hoyukai Special Nursing Home Meguro Chuo House* Mr. Shohei Shimomoto (Facility Director)
The work as a care worker is the same for both Japanese and
foreigners, and the tasks they perform are also the same. However, problems with language and communication can take a detour in training and growth before being able to perform the same tasks, and can lead to problems such as not being able to communicate, not being able to communicate, not understanding, or making mistakes when you think you understand. too.
If language and communication problems can be removed, the mastery of routine work will become faster, the nursing staff will be able to respond to the needs of residents, which is their primary job, and they will be able to demonstrate their individual strengths and further improve productivity. I thought it could be connected to. In this effort, we discovered that foreigners were not the only cause of the problem, and to be honest, at first we had imagined that it would be a much grander effort, but due to an insufficient
understanding of the problem in the first place, various errors occurred. It became clear to me that even though these problems were occurring, they were not being corrected.
The key points this time were to utilize nursing care recording software and Slack. Although it was something I had already used, I felt that it was important to continue to use the PDCA cycle, not just because a small amount of effort can have a big effect, but just because you get an effect once, that doesn’t stop you. Ta.

[*Comment from Yokohama City Rehabilitation Corporation, a social welfare corporation*]
Social Welfare Corporation Yokohama City Rehabilitation Corporation Yokohama City General Rehabilitation Center
Regional Rehabilitation Department Research and Development Division Manager Mr. Tetsuto Kumeta
In the FY2020 platform project for the development, demonstration, and dissemination of nursing care robots, Yokohama City General
Rehabilitation Center was in charge of the nursing care robot consultation desk. As part of our work, we provided escort support to nursing care facilities, and we received the cooperation of TRAPE as a business advisor. At the facility where we provided escort support, we raised communication among staff, including foreign staff, as an issue and provided support in order to improve services for users. Although the time was limited, we worked with the staff to identify specific issues, implement solutions, and verify their effectiveness. As a result, they were able to see the effectiveness of our efforts and expressed their desire to continue working towards further
improvements as a facility even after receiving support.

* [To everyone in charge of prefectures and municipalities] * TRAPE Co., Ltd. has been conducting the following activities since the dawn of 2017, when the term “improving productivity” was used in the nursing care industry.

We have been deeply involved in the creation of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s “Productivity Improvement Guidelines” for businesses and “Productivity Improvement Guidelines” for local governments, and have held national seminars sponsored by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for four consecutive years.

In 2019, we collaborated with Kumamoto Prefecture at Japan’s first regional nursing care site innovation conference, and produced results in an all-in-one manner, including managing the secretariat, designing the grand design of the entire project, and providing support for actual facilities.
– Through training sessions, workshops, and actual escort support, we have listened to the thoughts of managers and middle leaders of over 2,500 nursing care facilities, and have had repeated
conversations with them.

We provide escort support for nursing care facilities, from a wide range of facility services to home services, and as a result of our efforts, we have consistently produced three things at the same time: improved productivity, increased job satisfaction, and the development of autonomous human resources.
– From 2020 to 2023, I have been in charge of lectures and workshops at national seminars on productivity improvement for nursing care facilities sponsored by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

In 2022, we will serve as business advisors for 6 of the 17 robot consultation centers nationwide, and in 2023 we will serve as business advisors for 6 of the 16 robot consultation counters, one third of the 16 robot consultation centers nationwide. We provided support for the introduction and utilization of ICT and robots at nursing care facilities.

Since 2023, we have entered into a business advisory contract with the Aomori Nursing Care Site Improvement Comprehensive Consultation Center (Aomori Prefecture Productivity Improvement Comprehensive Consultation Counter = One-Stop Counter), and are designing and supporting initiatives that are ahead of the rest of the country. –
Our representative, Mr. Kamata, has been deeply involved as a member of various committees related to productivity improvement within the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, including the “Productivity Improvement Guidelines Creation” and the “Nursing Care Productivity Improvement Comprehensive Consultation Center.”
